Introducing Dr. Ellesse Boiwka

We would like to introduce you to our newest associate – Ellesse Boiwka, OD.

Dr. Boiwka was born and raised in Amherst, Ohio and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in zoology from Miami University. She went on to obtain her Doctorate in Optometry graduating summa cum laude from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. As a student, Dr. Boiwka completed her first clinical rotation in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, where she fell in love with the lowcountry. She finished the remainder of her rotations in Atlanta and Memphis focused on ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, low vision, and pediatrics. Dr. Boiwka also completed her residency specializing in ocular disease at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association and the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association.

When away from the office, Dr. Boiwka enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
