Many people think that eye emergencies require an immediate trip to the emergency room. The expense and hassle of such a trip to the hospital is rarely needed. Dr. Bodkin has managed hundreds of eye injuries ranging from:

• corneal abrasions
• minor lid lacerations
• blunt trauma
• chemical burns
• and many other ocular emergencies.

In some situations an eye injury may require the care of a specialist. Retinal detachments and deep penetrating wounds often require immediate transportation to a specialty medical center. Dr. Bodkin is very experienced in evaluating such situations, making sure that patients are properly referred.
