Brad Bodkin, OD, MS, FAAO

Dr. Brad Bodkin is the founder and president of The Vision Center at Seaside Farms.  He is a native of Collinsville, Virginia, and graduated from The College of William and Mary with Bachelors of Science degrees in mathematics and chemistry.  He continued his studies at The New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree as well as his Masters in Vision Science. Recently, Dr. Bodkin earned his Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Bodkin practices full scope eye care with a clinical focus on contact lenses – including specialty fits such as bifocal/multifocal, gas permeable, kerratoconus, and hybrid lenses.  He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association (SCOPA), Cornea and Contact Lens section of the AOA, and the Sports Vision section of the AOA.

Prior to opening The Vision Center at Seaside Farms, Dr. Bodkin gained clinical experience at Charleston Eye Care on James Island, Dr. Kenney and Associates in North Charleston, Richlin Eye Associates in Beverly Hills, California, the Bedford VA hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts,  Upham’s Corner Community Health Center in Boston, Massachusetts, and the New England Eye Institute’s Contact Lens Division in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Bodkin is proud to call Mt. Pleasant home where he has lived since 2007 with his wife Sarah, daughter Leila, and son Parker.  He is looking forward to meeting the eye care needs of the Mt. Pleasant community and the surrounding areas.
