Introducing Acuvue Oasys 1-day contact lenses
We are excited to announce the launch of the Acuvue Oasys 1-day contact lenses. Our office was selected as one of the first in the entire country to start fitting this new daily disposable lens. This new lens, building on the success of the Oasys 2-week lens, was designed using HydraluxeTM technology – a tear infused design with an enhanced network of tear-like molecules that integrates into your own natural tear film. This helps to support a stable tear film throughout the day to reduce symptoms of tired eyes and contact lens related dryness. They have also developed a new packaging solution that mimics the natural electrolyte balance in your own tears, ensuring they are comfortable immediately upon insertion. They still incorporate class 1 UV blocking by blocking >90% of UVA rays and >99% of UVB. In clinical studies, these lenses were preferred over the leading daily disposable 2-1 in comfort, 2-1 in vision, and 4-1 in ease of handling.
