Happy Spring!

You couldn’t have helped but notice the not so thin layer of yellow on everything (and if you didn’t, please schedule your vision check right away!).  If you are like a third of Americans, this lovely pollen is causing you to experience ocular allergies. Signs of ocular allergy include itching, watering, redness, and swelling of the eyelids. The good news is that we can help. If your normal allergy treatments are not enough to relieve your eye symptoms all day, then Dr. Bodkin can prescribe once daily eye drops that will keep those symptoms at bay. If you are a contact lens wearer, then switching to daily disposable contact lenses is the best thing you can do. Daily disposable lenses offer you a fresh, clean lens everyday – no more putting allergens from the day before back into your eye. So, if eye allergies are a problem for you, schedule an exam with Dr. Bodkin to see what your best options are and to discuss other strategies to reduce your discomfort.
